December 20th Another visit to Museo Sorolla
Today we went back to the Museo Sorolla to visit it again
partially prompted by how much we enjoyed it the first time and also by our
trip to Granada and Seville. Seeing the
Alhambra then coming to see how he treated it in his paintings just reaffirmed
how deftly he could treat light and shadow.
The paintings took us for a visit on how it would appear in the warmer
months and evoked thoughts of just how beautiful it can be in any time of
year. Now we want to find his paintings
in museums all over the U.S. to enlarge our appreciation of his work.
