After we came back to the apartment, I went back out and got my hair cut. We laughed before I left that I would come back with no hair but the man who cut my hair did a beautiful job. He gave me a scissors cut then followed it up by going around the entire border of what’s left of my hair with a straight razor to clean it up. All for 8 euros, what a bargain.

November 13th Another trip to the Prado
The beautiful thing about having
our passes is that we can go as often as we like and stay for as long as we
wish. So today Deb was feeling somewhat
better and it was a sunny warmish day so we headed for the Prado again. Today we concentrated on the displays of El
Greco, Titian, Tintoretto, and Rubens.
Not having to rush through allows us to really look at the paintings and
I have to say WOW! We saw some of the El
Greco paintings many years ago when we spent 3 days in Madrid with Rosemary and
Gordon but I was just knocked out with the color and composition of them. I didn’t remember them being so appealing,
but of course I’ve had another 20 years of viewing and collecting art to prime
the pump. We also looked at the Titian,
Tintoretto, and Rubens paintings with an entirely different eye and found them
so beautiful.
